The walls in the studio had been freshly painted to remove the traces of previous artists. Past paint marks, however, were still partially visible. The work entailed drawing over pre-existing paint stains (all the red stains) on one of the walls. The drawn lines within each stain followed the texture of the wall while the color of the drawn lines matched the color of the paint stains.
